Oncology and Lymphoedema Physiotherapist
Elizabeth is a Physiotherapist working in pre and post-operative cancer rehabilitation and palliative care since 2010. Undertaking Lymphoedema training in 2013 her initial work was done in setting up a formal service at a rural health service, and she went into private practice when she returned to Sydney.
Elizabeth offers a range of services to complement her Cancer Rehabilitation and Lymphoedema treatment including: MLS Laser therapy, patient lead education and prevention programs, identification and mitigation of patient specific side effects, post operative recovery, graduated exercise rehabilitation programs, scar management, and comprehensive lymphoedema management including: Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) massage, compression bandaging, and compression garment prescription.
A long-standing leader in the lymphoedema field, Elizabeth (or Libby as she prefers to be known) specialises in cancer rehabilitation focused on customised treatment and management plans to help people through their recovery.
Specialising in the early detection and intervention of cancer-related Lymphoedema symptoms, Libby is a Certified Pinc and Steel physio, who is also qualified in pilates, yoga, and hydrotherapy.
As an experienced and dedicated Lymphoedema therapist, Libby has served and chaired the APAs advisory committee for Cancer, Palliative Care, and Lymphoedema. She has been a member of the ALA’s Membership and Communication Committee’s since 2019, was appointed to the ALA Board in May 2020 and elected as President of the ALA in 2024.
Elizabeth believes that empowering clients through education and early intervention, allows people to continue to live their best life each day and not be dictated by a diagnosis.
